ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

 Specific Outcome 1

 Control the sourcing of material.

  • Some notes about assessment. (Learners need to be given some insight into how they will be assessed as ‘Competent’ or otherwise.)
    The above points can be easily addressed. All that is required are short explanatory paragraphs about each one at the beginning of the Learner Guide. In addition to the above, the Learner Guide should also include information about:
    (a) the criteria that are used to make each assessment decision; and

    (b) some evidence to show that the facilitators, assessors and moderators that you use are properly qualified. (You are also required to provide these details as part of the normal ‘policies and procedures’ aspect of the accreditation process.)

 Assessment Criterion (for Specific Outcome 1)

  1. Sourcing of Materials is managed so that targets and standards set in production plans can be achieved
  2. Materials sourced meet quality, quantity and financial standards of the organisation.
  3. Materials are delivered within specified time frames.

 Specific Outcome 2

 Plan production line manning levels.

 Assessment Criterion (for specific outcome 2)

  1. Staff levels are organised as per production needs.
  2. Staffing is efficient and effective so that quality products can be produced in the most productive way.
  3. Staffing levels arranged so as to minimise unnecessary overtime.
  4. Staffing is arranged according to organisation HR policies and procedures.
  5. Staffing is planned to achieve smooth take over from one shift to the next.

 Specific Outcome 3

 Plan machine changeovers and maintenance.

 Assessment Criterion (for specific outcome 3)

  1. Machine changeover and maintenance is planned in line with overall production plans.
  2. Changeovers are planned according to organisation policies and procedures.
  3. Maintenance is planned to meet organisation safety and maintenance policies and procedures but with minimal disruption to the production process.

 Specific Outcome 4

 Compile production reports.

 Assessment Criterion (for specific outcome 4)

  1. Production reports are as per organisation policies and procedures.
  2. Production reports display information which is relevant and necessary for feedback to management.
  3. Relevant statistics are used to summarise information and trends.
